This week we are excited to introduce Eva Vander Giessen, Creative Director at MEET (Middle East Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow), where she designs strategies to engage Eva new investors, deepen relationships with stakeholders, and raise awareness abroad of MEET’s positive disruption of the status quo in the Middle East. She has also led citizen diplomacy projects in Central Asia and the Middle East, and art+tech educational programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Eva serves as a member of sister city committees between Afghanistan and the US, and on the board of directors of Afghan Friends Network, an NGO that promotes dignity, nurtures potential, and supports bold steps in Afghanistan.

For this edition, we are pleased to introduce Nozomi Witherspoon, International Programs Manager at Water.org. She joined Water.org in September 2014 and is now launching and implementing programs in Africa and Latin America. Nozomi also leads the coordination of market and impact assessments, and works closely with her team members in country offices and other strategic departments in Water.org to maximize impact on the ground. Joe Dougherty - DalbergToday we are pleased to share the insights and perspective of Joe Dougherty, who leads Dalberg’s San Francisco office. He has served as a trusted advisor to donor agencies, governments, NGOs, and leading corporations for 20 years, and has worked in more than thirty countries. Before joining Dalberg, Joe was the Director of the Economic Growth practice at Cardno Emerging Markets, where he worked with the World Bank, Nike Foundation, USAID, AusAID and others to improve access to finance, raise agricultural productivity, and enhance the lives of the poor in developing countries. Earlier in his career, Joe worked with both Deloitte and A.T. Kearney, where he served as the firm’s first country manager for Thailand and worked extensively across Southeast Asia. Joe graduated from Loyola University in Maryland and received an MBA from the Wharton School of Business as well as an MA from John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
