Fascinating volunteer opportunity at the Global Economic Summit
Great opportunity for those who want to volunteer (and network) at the upcoming Global Economic Summit in Silicon Valley – more information from Crystal Solomon at the State Dept. below:
We are looking for volunteers for President Obama’s Global Entrepreneurial Summit at Stanford University on June 22-24.
The Global Entrepreneurial Summit is an extraordinary event where 700 entrepreneurs from around the world and hundreds of investors and tech leaders come together to exchange ideas and learn from one another.
I am Crystal Solomon and I am the volunteer coordinator for Major Events and Conferences Staff at The State Department, and we are producing GES. Volunteers are an integral part of making our events a huge success and we appreciate them greatly. We welcome you to join our team for this event and we look forward to working with you.
We are looking for volunteers in a myriad of areas, such as Transportation, Directional, Speaker Support and Catering. Every area that we need volunteers to assist in is extremely important and will afford you the opportunity to be a part of this outstanding event. As a volunteer you will at any given time be face to face with global entrepreneurs and Silicon Valley professionals that are leaders in their fields.
If you are interested in being a volunteer, I will be meeting at Stanford University on May 10 and 11th. At that time I will be interviewing potential volunteers and describing the volunteering options. Please complete the attached database form along with providing a picture. (You can attach it to the form) Once I receive it, I will touch base with you so that we can set up a time to chat, and you can obtain additional info.
Also, if you know of anyone else who might want to volunteer, please refer them (firstname.lastname@example.org). We are looking for 200+ volunteers and we enjoy referrals!
PS – if you’re interested, email Michael Kleinman (email@example.com), and he can send you the form
