#giveheravoice Networking Happy Hour Presented by Salesforce and Google
Thursday, March 5
6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
There are 27 million slaves in the world today. And each year, thousands of young girls from poor families in India, Nepal, and Bangladesh are kidnapped and forced into prostitution, further adding to the slave population. This April, in collaboration with effect.org, Shakti Samuha, and the documentary Stolen Innocence, a group of Salesforce and Google employees is traveling to Nepal to learn about this global issue first hand. They will be working with several nonprofits dedicated to eradicating human trafficking in order to better understand their challenges and goals. Then in the second half of the week, they’ll participate in a 54-hour hackathon to apply their creativity, technology, and skills to build solutions to address the human trafficking problem. Join the #giveheravoice networking happy hour to learn more!
Tickets ($20+) available here. Entry includes two drinks, a raffle ticket featuring awesome prizes, great music and awesome networking opportunities!
